The polymer glycoconjugates are synthesised by condensation of w-aminoalkyl glycosides with poly(4-nitrophenyl acrylate) Even with bulky tetra- and pentasaccharides, the substitution of 20% can be performed in a quantitative way. The introduction of a second ligand (label) proceeds in the same way, the ratio of the ligands in the product corresponds to that introduced in the reaction. The knowledge of the optimal conditions for the condensation reaction gives us the possibility to synthesise conjugates with the exactly defined molar content of ligand, and to offer our customers sets of conjugates with exactly 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 mol.% of ligands.
